This artwork by Léonard Defrance achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2002. In the OLD MASTER PICTURES auction, the work The interior of an inn with peasants seated by a table drinking tea sold for EUR 15,535.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léonard Defrance achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Interior of an Inn with elegant figures eating and artisans playing cards in the background; and Interior of an Inn with mixed company taking tea in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 132,000.00 (€ 196,050.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Léonard Defrance erzielte im Mai 2002 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES wurde die Arbeit The interior of an inn with peasants seated by a table drinking tea für EUR 15.535,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Léonard Defrance erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Interior of an Inn with elegant figures eating and artisans playing cards in the background; and Interior of an Inn with mixed company taking tea im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 132.000,00 (€ 196.050,47).
