Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dalston Junction No.1 by Leon Kossoff was sold in the Modern & Post War British Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in June 2021. The price achieved of GBP 163,800.00 (€ 190,869.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Leon Kossoff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Willesden Junction - Autumn Afternoon in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 1,388,750.00 (€ 1,566,467.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dalston Junction No.1 von Leon Kossoff wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion Modern & Post War British Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 163.800,00 (€ 190.869,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leon Kossoff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Willesden Junction - Autumn Afternoon im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.388.750,00 (€ 1.566.467,81).
