The work Run, 2002 by Leon Golub was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in February 2021. The »bidding war« ended at USD 7,012.50 (€ 5,798.81), 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leon Golub achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work White Squad X in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 197,000.00 (€ 158,385.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Run, 2002 von Leon Golub wurde im Februar 2021 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 7.012,50 (€ 5.798,81) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leon Golub erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit White Squad X im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 197.000,00 (€ 158.385,59).
