In the 19th Century European Art including an Important Collection of Sculpture auction, the work French a Classical Beauty sold for USD 110,500.00 (€ 76,864.22) - well above the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Léon François Comerre have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French Le Triomphe Du Cygne in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 240,500.00 (€ 336,762.22).
