Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings including Spanish Painting, The Orientalist Sale, and German, Austrian, Scandinavian and Symbolist Works, which included the work French Fille En Costume by Léon François Comerre. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,523.80) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léon François Comerre achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Le Triomphe Du Cygne in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 240,500.00 (€ 336,762.22).

Im November 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings including Spanish Painting, The Orientalist Sale, and German, Austrian, Scandinavian and Symbolist Works durch, in der auch die Arbeit French Fille En Costume von Léon François Comerre zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.523,80) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Léon François Comerre erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French Le Triomphe Du Cygne im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 240.500,00 (€ 336.762,22).
