Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 7,650.00 (€ 8,986.78). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léon Augustin Lhermitte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La vendange à Mont-Saint-Père in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 300,000.00 (€ 267,833.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Vue a Cauterets, Pyrenees 1881 von Léon Augustin Lhermitte kam im März 2021 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 7.650,00 (€ 8.986,78) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Léon Augustin Lhermitte erzielen.
