In July this year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Figures seated before out-buildings, Saint-Servan, 1893 by Léon Augustin Lhermitte. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,864.00 (€ 5,674.81), 62% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léon Augustin Lhermitte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La vendange à Mont-Saint-Père in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 300,000.00 (€ 267,833.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 62 % übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figures seated before out-buildings, Saint-Servan, 1893 von Léon Augustin Lhermitte zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.864,00 (€ 5.674,81) und damit 62% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Léon Augustin Lhermitte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La vendange à Mont-Saint-Père im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 300.000,00 (€ 267.833,23).
