Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction 19th Century and British Impressionist Art, which included the work Portrait de Madame Jean Lhermitte, née Lucie Megret by Léon Augustin Lhermitte. The price achieved of GBP 3,570.00 (€ 4,193.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léon Augustin Lhermitte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La vendange à Mont-Saint-Père in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 300,000.00 (€ 267,833.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait de Madame Jean Lhermitte, née Lucie Megret von Léon Augustin Lhermitte zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.570,00 (€ 4.193,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Léon Augustin Lhermitte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La vendange à Mont-Saint-Père im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 300.000,00 (€ 267.833,23).
