Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tool Series by Leng Jun was auctioned at POLY in July 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 413,000.00 (€ 45,249.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leng Jun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Five Pointed Star in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,216,000.00 (€ 909,226.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tool Series von Leng Jun kam im Juli 2020 bei POLY zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 413.000,00 (€ 45.249,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leng Jun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Five Pointed Star im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.216.000,00 (€ 909.226,86).
