This price was achieved in the auction Lehman Brothers: Artwork and Ephemera at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lelia Pissarro; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Le jardin des Tuilleries à Paris sold at auction in February 2008 with the realized price of USD 11,875.00 (€ 7,819.19).
