A top price for Leif Ritchey - as previously expected
The work Lady Bug by Leif Ritchey was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 60,000.00 – 100,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,847.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Lady Bug is the most expensive artwork by Leif Ritchey that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Lady Bug von Leif Ritchey wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.847,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Lady Bug das teuerste Kunstwerk von Leif Ritchey, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
