Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Peasants Walking Along The Shore by Leendert de Koningh the Elder was sold in the Two Great Scottish Collections: Property from the Forbeses of Pitsligo and the Marquesses of Lothian auction at Sothebys in London in March 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 400.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 313.00 (€ 366.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leendert de Koningh the Elder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shipping offshore in breezy weather in April 2000 with an auction result of GBP 5,640.00 (€ 9,655.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Peasants Walking Along The Shore von Leendert de Koningh the Elder wurde im März 2017 in der Auktion Two Great Scottish Collections: Property from the Forbeses of Pitsligo and the Marquesses of Lothian bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
