Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Christies in New York held the auction The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples, which included the work In Milano 1-5 by Lee Ufan. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 40,320.00 (€ 36,521.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lee Ufan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work From Line, No. 760219 in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 2,165,000.00 (€ 1,740,633.54).
