Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Christies in New York held the auction A Century of Art: The Gerald Fineberg Collection Part I, which included the work From line by Lee Ufan. The price achieved of USD 1,502,000.00 (€ 1,409,799.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,200,000.00 – 1,800,000.00. Other works by Lee Ufan have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2014 the work From Line, No. 760219 was auctioned for USD 2,165,000.00 (€ 1,740,633.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion A Century of Art: The Gerald Fineberg Collection Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit From line von Lee Ufan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.502.000,00 (€ 1.409.799,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.200.000,00 – 1.800.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Lee Ufan konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2014 die Arbeit From Line, No. 760219 für USD 2.165.000,00 (€ 1.740.633,54) versteigert.
