Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Layer--Bab (Layer--Field) by Lee Sung-O for USD 2,880.00 (€ 2,153.43). This price was achieved in the auction Japanese and Korean Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Lee Sung-O have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2007 by the work Layer, 2004 at USD 4,000.00 (€ 2,813.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Layer--Bab (Layer--Field) von Lee Sung-O für USD 2.880,00 (€ 2.153,43) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Lee Sung-O wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im September 2007 die Arbeit Layer, 2004 mit USD 4.000,00 (€ 2.813,14).
