Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rooster and Hen by Lee Man Fong was sold in the Modern Art Online auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in May last year. The price achieved of HKD 478,800.00 (€ 56,843.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 380,000.00 – 550,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lee Man Fong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bali Life in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 33,720,000.00 (€ 3,471,572.23).
