Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Amsterdam by Lee Man Fong was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November this year. The price achieved of HKD 403,200.00 (€ 47,313.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 320,000.00 – 550,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lee Man Fong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bali Life in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 33,720,000.00 (€ 3,471,572.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Amsterdam von Lee Man Fong kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 403.200,00 (€ 47.313,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 320.000,00 – 550.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lee Man Fong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bali Life im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 33.720.000,00 (€ 3.471.572,23).
