Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lee Man Fong | Tigers by Lee Man Fong was sold in the Modern Discoveries | Encounters auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July last year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 302,400.00 (€ 37,733.31) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 240,000.00 – 320,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lee Man Fong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bali Life in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 33,720,000.00 (€ 3,471,572.23).
