Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Lee Dongwook was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. It changed hands for a price of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 18,180.53) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lee Dongwook - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Handle, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 583,500.00 (€ 48,037.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Lee Dongwook wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 18.180,53) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lee Dongwook mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Handle beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 583.500,00 (€ 48.037,50) versteigert wurde.
