A top price for Lee Chi Ching - as previously expected
The work Martial Arts Hero by Lee Chi Ching was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. The price achieved of HKD 63,000.00 (€ 7,479.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Martial Arts Hero is the most expensive artwork by Lee Chi Ching that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Martial Arts Hero von Lee Chi Ching wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 63.000,00 (€ 7.479,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Martial Arts Hero das teuerste Kunstwerk von Lee Chi Ching, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
