Auction result well in line with expectations
In February this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Dawn of Spring – Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Landscape by Lee Chi Ching. The price achieved of HKD 22,680.00 (€ 2,725.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 18,000.00 – 28,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lee Chi Ching - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Martial Arts Hero, which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 63,000.00 (€ 7,479.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Dawn of Spring – Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Lee Chi Ching zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 22.680,00 (€ 2.725,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 18.000,00 – 28.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Lee Chi Ching mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Martial Arts Hero beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 63.000,00 (€ 7.479,45) versteigert wurde.
