Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Suonatore Di Liuto by Leandro da Ponte was auctioned at Sothebys in Milan in November 2008. The price achieved of EUR 16,875.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leandro da Ponte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ritratto di un frate, probabilmente Fra Paolo Sarpi, a mezza figura, in una tunica bianca con mozzetta nera e un breviario in mano in December 2001 with an auction result of ITL 268,700,000.00 (€ 241,500.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Suonatore Di Liuto von Leandro da Ponte kam im November 2008 bei Sothebys in Mailand zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 16.875,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leandro da Ponte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ritratto di un frate, probabilmente Fra Paolo Sarpi, a mezza figura, in una tunica bianca con mozzetta nera e un breviario in mano im Dezember 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 268.700.000,00 (€ 241.500,95).
