The work December: A village in winter with figures slaughtering a pig, others by a fire in a cottage, with snow-covered mountains in the distance by Leandro da Ponte was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction at Christies in London in July 2014. The result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 31,532.86) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00.
