The works were painted circa 1926 which was during a long travel (1925-1926) when Lea Lafugie visited India, Ceylon, Burma, Cambodia, Vietnam and China.

Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work The musicians; Woman and child by Léa Lafugie for HKD 16,730.00 (€ 2,170.62). This price was achieved in the auction SOUTHEAST ASIAN PICTURES at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 18,000.00 – 28,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Léa Lafugie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Diseur de bonne aventure (The Fortune Teller) in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 9,229.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The musicians; Woman and child von Léa Lafugie für HKD 16.730,00 (€ 2.170,62) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion SOUTHEAST ASIAN PICTURES bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 18.000,00 – 28.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Léa Lafugie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Diseur de bonne aventure (The Fortune Teller) im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 9.229,35).
