Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Market Scene in Central Saigon by Le Minh was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in February last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 11,340.00 (€ 1,292.22). Admittedly, works by Le Minh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mưa Ngoài Phố (Rain Scene in Saigon) in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 70,125.00 (€ 7,507.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Market Scene in Central Saigon von Le Minh im Februar letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 11.340,00 (€ 1.292,22) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Le Minh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mưa Ngoài Phố (Rain Scene in Saigon) im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 70.125,00 (€ 7.507,98).
