Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Laxman Pai was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,719.39) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Laxman Pai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Houses) in March last year with an auction result of USD 18,900.00 (€ 17,037.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Laxman Pai kam im September 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.719,39) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Laxman Pai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Houses) im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.900,00 (€ 17.037,77).
