Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Woman) by Laxman Pai was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online auction at Christies in New York in March last year. The price achieved of USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,407.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Laxman Pai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Houses) in March last year with an auction result of USD 18,900.00 (€ 17,037.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Woman) von Laxman Pai wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.780,00 (€ 3.407,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Laxman Pai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Houses) im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.900,00 (€ 17.037,77).
