Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Marilyn Monroe by Lawrence Schiller was sold in the FILM auction at Phillips in New York in June 2010. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,051.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lawrence Schiller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portfolio, "Marilyn" (Shot on the Set of "Something's Gotta Give") in April 2021 with an auction result of USD 24,062.50 (€ 20,002.08).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.051,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden.
