This artwork by Lawrence Daws achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Sydney in August 2003. In the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction, the work Nude in Landscape sold for AUD 10,575.00 (€ 6,247.20) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lawrence Daws - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lily Pool, which sold at auction in November 2003 for AUD 28,200.00 (€ 17,011.69).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Lawrence Daws erzielte im August 2003 bei Christies in Sydney einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS wurde die Arbeit Nude in Landscape für AUD 10.575,00 (€ 6.247,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lawrence Daws mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lily Pool beobachtet, die im November 2003 für AUD 28.200,00 (€ 17.011,69) versteigert wurde.
