Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work Interior with an elderly woman and a dog by Lauritz Mikkelsen was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in December this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 3,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 1,550.00 (€ 207.94). Admittedly, works by Lauritz Mikkelsen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Three sketches in January 2024 with an auction result of DKK 1,600.00 (€ 1,398.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit Interior with an elderly woman and a dog von Lauritz Mikkelsen im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 3.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 1.550,00 (€ 207,94) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lauritz Mikkelsen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Three sketches im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 1.600,00 (€ 1.398,36).
