Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work The Long House (Red Bathroom) by Laurie Simmons. The price achieved of USD 10,795.00 (€ 9,778.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Laurie Simmons have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Walking Chanel Purse in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 94,535.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Long House (Red Bathroom) von Laurie Simmons zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.795,00 (€ 9.778,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Laurie Simmons auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Walking Chanel Purse im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 94.535,83).
