Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2004 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Pansies, primulas, wallflowers, geranium and phlox by Laurence Biddle. The price achieved of GBP 1,553.50 (€ 2,347.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Laurence Biddle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French Marigolds, Primroses, Geraniums, Violets And Other Flowers In A Bowl; And Another Similar, which sold at auction in March 2006 for GBP 4,320.00 (€ 6,189.78).

Im Juli 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pansies, primulas, wallflowers, geranium and phlox von Laurence Biddle zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.553,50 (€ 2.347,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden.
