Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2003 Christies in London held the auction At Home - British and Continental Pictures & Works on Paper, which included the work Pansies and primulas by Laurence Biddle. The price achieved of GBP 705.00 (€ 918.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Laurence Biddle have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French Marigolds, Primroses, Geraniums, Violets And Other Flowers In A Bowl; And Another Similar in March 2006 with an auction result of GBP 4,320.00 (€ 6,189.78).
