In October 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work 5Th Avenue by Laurence A. Campbell. The price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 53,657.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, 5Th Avenue is the most expensive artwork by Laurence A. Campbell that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit 5Th Avenue von Laurence A. Campbell zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 53.657,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist 5Th Avenue das teuerste Kunstwerk von Laurence A. Campbell, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
