Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Bonhams in Paris held the auction Art de l'Avant-Garde à nos jours1918-2021, which included the work Sans titre (Farbenexplosion - Protest der Farbe) by László Moholy-Nagy. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 12,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by László Moholy-Nagy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Em 1 Telephonbild (Em 1 Telephone Picture) in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 6,087,500.00 (€ 5,754,868.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion Art de l'Avant-Garde à nos jours1918-2021 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans titre (Farbenexplosion - Protest der Farbe) von László Moholy-Nagy zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 12.750,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von László Moholy-Nagy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Em 1 Telephonbild (Em 1 Telephone Picture) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.087.500,00 (€ 5.754.868,60).
