Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Larry Clark achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in August 2020. In the First Open auction, the work without title sold for USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,712.63) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Larry Clark achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selections from Teenage Lust (1968-75) in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 56,400.00 (€ 66,462.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Larry Clark erzielte im August 2020 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.712,63) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Larry Clark erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Selections from Teenage Lust (1968-75) im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.400,00 (€ 66.462,41).
