Auction result misses estimated price range
In October last year a collector was able to acquire the work SMS #124 by Larry Bell for GBP 1,764.00 (€ 2,055.04). This price was achieved in the auction No Regrets: The Collectors' Edition at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Larry Bell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 623,400.00 (€ 400,642.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit SMS #124 von Larry Bell für GBP 1.764,00 (€ 2.055,04) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion No Regrets: The Collectors' Edition bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Larry Bell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 623.400,00 (€ 400.642,67).
