Auction result well in line with expectations
The work FR-EL #449, 1997 by Larry Bell was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,147.50 (€ 1,172.95) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Larry Bell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 623,400.00 (€ 400,642.67).

Die Arbeit FR-EL #449, 1997 von Larry Bell kam im September letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.147,50 (€ 1.172,95) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Larry Bell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 623.400,00 (€ 400.642,67).
