This artwork by Lambert Doomer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2016. In the Old Master and British Works on Paper Including drawings from the Oppé Collection auction, the work Figures In A Covered River Barge sold for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,705.41) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 9,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lambert Doomer; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Rhine Near Hammerstein, With Andernach, Seen From The North sold at auction in July 2017 with the realized price of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,054.63).
