The work Les Femmes du Maroc: Grande Odalisque by Lalla Essaydi was sold in the Dubai: Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Dubai in March 2017. The »bidding war« ended at USD 27,500.00 (€ 25,705.74), 38% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lalla Essaydi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bullets Revisited #3, which sold at auction in April 2013 for USD 81,250.00 (€ 61,702.61).

Die Arbeit Les Femmes du Maroc: Grande Odalisque von Lalla Essaydi wurde im März 2017 in der Auktion Dubai: Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 25.705,74) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Lalla Essaydi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bullets Revisited #3 beobachtet, die im April 2013 für USD 81.250,00 (€ 61.702,61) versteigert wurde.
