Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Harem #18 by Lalla Essaydi was sold in the Dubai: Post War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Dubai in March 2018. Here, the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 27,500.00 (€ 22,321.43). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lalla Essaydi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bullets Revisited #3, which sold at auction in April 2013 for USD 81,250.00 (€ 61,702.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Harem #18 von Lalla Essaydi wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion Dubai: Post War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 27.500,00 (€ 22.321,43) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Lalla Essaydi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bullets Revisited #3 beobachtet, die im April 2013 für USD 81.250,00 (€ 61.702,61) versteigert wurde.
