A top price for Lai Fong - as previously expected
In January 2012 Christies in New York held the auction Chinese Export Art, which included the work The Achnashie Under Full Sail by Lai Fong. The price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,703.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Achnashie Under Full Sail is the most expensive artwork by Lai Fong that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Januar 2012 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Chinese Export Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Achnashie Under Full Sail von Lai Fong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.703,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Achnashie Under Full Sail das teuerste Kunstwerk von Lai Fong, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
