In January 2012 Christies in New York held the auction Chinese Export Art, which included the work The Milton Stuart by Lai Fong. The auction ended at the price of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,596.64), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Lai Fong have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2012 the work The Achnashie Under Full Sail was auctioned for USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,703.44).

Im Januar 2012 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Chinese Export Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Milton Stuart von Lai Fong zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.596,64) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00.
