Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,853.54). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lai Fong of Calcutta - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Iron Wool Clipper Loch Tay At Sea, which sold at auction in November 2004 for GBP 5,736.00 (€ 8,251.21).
