Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Celebration in Georgia by Lado Gudiashvili was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 45,000.00 – 55,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 47,000.00 (€ 74,870.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lado Gudiashvili achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work By The Black Stream in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 937,250.00 (€ 1,154,596.91).

Die Arbeit Celebration in Georgia von Lado Gudiashvili kam im Dezember 2000 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 45.000,00 – 55.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 47.000,00 (€ 74.870,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lado Gudiashvili erzielen.
