The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,925.41), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ladislaus Bakalowicz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Polish a Flower Market At La Madeleine, Paris in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 422,500.00 (€ 324,102.49).

Die Arbeit Polish The Introduction von Ladislaus Bakalowicz wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion European Paintings including German, Austrian & Central European Paintings and The Orientalist Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.925,41) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ladislaus Bakalowicz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Polish a Flower Market At La Madeleine, Paris im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 422.500,00 (€ 324.102,49).
