Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work The Recital by Ladislaus Bakalowicz for USD 26,290.00 (€ 13,311.39). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art including Barbizon, Realist and at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ladislaus Bakalowicz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Polish a Flower Market At La Madeleine, Paris in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 422,500.00 (€ 324,102.49).

Im April 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Recital von Ladislaus Bakalowicz für USD 26.290,00 (€ 13.311,39) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Art including Barbizon, Realist and bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ladislaus Bakalowicz erzielen.
