Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Sulphur Basin and Range, 1998 by Laddie John Dill for USD 1,211.25 (€ 1,078.87). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art & Editions Online at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Laddie John Dill have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Death in Venice in December 2019 with an auction result of USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,577.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sulphur Basin and Range, 1998 von Laddie John Dill für USD 1.211,25 (€ 1.078,87) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art & Editions Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Laddie John Dill auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Death in Venice im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.577,18).
