This artwork by Kuang Zhongying achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2015. In the Grace from Dafengtang Studio - Painting and Calligraphy by Chang Dai-chien and His School auction, the work Basho And Cherry sold for HKD 14,160.00 (€ 1,654.27) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kuang Zhongying - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bird On Branch, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 29,500.00 (€ 3,409.65).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Kuang Zhongying erzielte im Oktober 2015 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Grace from Dafengtang Studio - Painting and Calligraphy by Chang Dai-chien and His School wurde die Arbeit Basho And Cherry für HKD 14.160,00 (€ 1.654,27) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kuang Zhongying mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bird On Branch beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 29.500,00 (€ 3.409,65) versteigert wurde.
