Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Clown Falling; Falling Figure by Krishna Reddy was sold in the A Lasting Engagement: The Jane and Kito de Boer Collection auction at Christies in New York in September 2020. The price achieved of USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,867.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Krishna Reddy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Group Of Trees), which sold at auction in November 2018 for INR 1,062,500.00 (€ 13,418.48).

Die Arbeit Clown Falling; Falling Figure von Krishna Reddy wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion A Lasting Engagement: The Jane and Kito de Boer Collection bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.867,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Krishna Reddy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Group Of Trees) beobachtet, die im November 2018 für INR 1.062.500,00 (€ 13.418,48) versteigert wurde.
